The Sheffield Events Company can organise large and small events on a commissioned basis. Recent examples include:
The University of Sheffield 100th Birthday party.
In 2005 the University of Sheffield celebrated 100 years since incorporation and we were charged with organising a ‘carnival/festival’ event in the grounds of Weston Park for 12,000 people. As core attractions we brought in a big top circus, music stage, walkabout entertainments, traditional carousel, themed Victorian entertainers and children’s activities. The events was so successful that we were commissioned to organise a Christmas Festival for the University the same year.
DLA Fireworks Display.
International law firm DLA recently opened new offices in Sheffield and were staging a gala dinner with high profile guests including a Government Minister & their President, Senator Mitchell. With less than a weeks notice we were charged with staging a massive fireworks display which was set off remotely from the roof of their building.
Sheffield on Sea
For the last three years we have been commissioned by Sheffield City Council to provide a 20 ton artificial beach and deck chairs in the prestigious Peace Gardens in the heart of the City Centre as a part of their "Sheffield on Sea" event.
Star City – Birmingham
For three consecutive years we organised a 20 ride travelling theme park at the Star City complex in Birmingham during the October Half Term. The event increased footfall by over 30,000 during the weeks.
